SanDisk is an American manufacturer that produces memory cards and card readers, USB flash drives, and solid-state drives. 2. Windows Disk Utility
Windows Disk Utility is the second choice for you even though you are a freshman. However, it only offers FAT 16, FAT32, and NTFS as the target file system. Hence, you may need the help of MiniTool Partition Wizard if you want to choose other file systems.

Step 1. Run “diskmgmt.msc” to call out Windows Disk Utility. Then at the disk map area, right-click the SanDisk partition and choose Format from the context menu.

Step 2. In the pop-up window, choose the file system, volume label, and allocation unit size you want before you click OK.

Tip: it is worth mentioning that you cannot format a partition with FAT32 file system is it is larger than 32 GB. This is a limitation in Disk Utility but can get overcome if you use MiniTool Partition Wizard.
Step 3. When you see the warning message that tells formatting will lead to data loss on this drive, you need to click OK to continue. Then SanDisk formatting will be finished quickly.
